“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11. The word that I’ve been carrying in my heart and spirit for the past two months has been SHIFT. I was reminded of the demoniac whom Jesus had set free in Mark 5, this man had been hanging around tombs, and had taken up residence amongst what was dead.
When you hang around dead things, you can be certain to encounter decay, disease, and dark forces – and when you embrace them, that same spirit of decay will attach itself to you. I believe many people are holding onto what God has said is dead and should be buried, and as a result, they are suffering death and decay in their lives and not experiencing the resurrection life of Christ.
Its time to make a SHIFT, and to stop hanging around graveyards. Shift lanes – if the lane you are riding in life currently is not taking you closer to your God ordained destiny, make a move and Shift. There are many lanes presented to you, but only one has the words ‘prophetic destiny’ written upon it – this is the lane that God had prepared for you before He fashioned you in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He ordained the days of your life according to a unique prophetic destiny that He had in mind especially for you, find your lane and stick to it because everything you need (people, places, platforms, and provision) He has already strategically positioned in this lane for you. Shift your focus , if the area you are currently investing your time, resources, and energy is not where God desires you to be, the fruits of your labour will be minimal.
I believe God is saying to His body at this time that its time to make the Shift from the old and familiar to the new. The transition may not be easy, but the joy attached to what’s coming outweighs the pain of any loss of what’s left behind. Make the SHIFT.
